Mentor

Aaron

Aaron likes helping children. Growing up in the Detroit housing projects as one of seven children being raised by a single mom, he saw many of his friends take the wrong path. He has a strong desire to give back because he feels he is lucky he didn’t end up like some of his childhood pals.

While attending Michigan State University (MSU) he worked with children, coaching floor hockey for the Boys Club. After graduating from MSU, he started his family and continued to give back, this time coaching Little League Baseball and then basketball in the Police Athletic League.

When Aaron isn’t being a BEST Kids mentor for his foster care child, he is being a supportive husband and parent to his son and twin daughters. Professionally, he has over 20 years experience as a federal criminal investigator and is a special agent in charge for the Office of Inspector General.

Aaron is a success story and has made the long term commitment to make a difference in his foster care child’s life.
