In an effort to join the Best Kids as a volunteer mentor, I would very much like to attend the training on June 25th.

Hello. I’m interested in becoming a mentor to at-risk boys with the hope that I can make a lasting, positive impact in their lives. My own children are largely grown and live in another state and so I lack an outlet for developing young people, which I sorely miss.

Is the introduction to the program the new mentor training? Do I need a formal acceptance into the organization prior to the training, or any other qualification? Please let me know how I can serve needful children in the D.C. area (I prefer D.C. and mentoring African-American children.)

    Thank you,
    ajb

I just sent in my application and would like to be considered for the mentor program. I’m not certain if a week gives you enough time to review my application but ifso, I’d like to take this course on the 25th of June.

I would love to volunteer my time but I’m unable to make the training on June 25th, is there another up-coming date?
